| Dr.
Kim Labak joined Care Animal Hospital
in June, 2007. Dr. Labak studied English and Music at Northern
Illinois University, and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary
Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2007.
Dr. Labaks professional interests include
surgery, epidemiology and zoonoses (diseases that can be transmitted
from animals to people) and exotic pet and wildlife medicine.
She is particularly interested in how wild animal diseases
and environmental changes affect the health of pets and people.
Dr. Labaks favorite part of working at
Care is the team of doctors and technicians she works with
every day. Everyone here is extremely skilled and knowledgeable
and will go to great lengths to provide the absolute best
care for their patients.
When shes not working, Dr. Labak enjoys
reading, painting, camping, kayaking, skiing, writing songs,
and playing her guitar and drums at local clubs.
